Instant Colors are the most different from all the others as they use opaque pigments, you can create some nice effects with them but I’ll only use them rarely. Xpress Colors’ slightly lower pigmentation limits their use a little bit, but they have some really nice colours and work well in combination with preshading, for example Slapchop or a zenithal basecoat. I wasn’t a fan of the original Speedpaints’ reactivation, but now that the 2.0 formula made the paints more stable, I found I use them more often, as the range offers a lot of choice. Question remains, which is my favourite range of all? I’d say I still prefer Contrast, as they are the most richly pigmented paints, and have a good selection of colours. Im attempting to paint Afrika Korp, and the book says to use 'DAK Sand', which is a Colours of War paint. Citadel Air (new, bigger pot) 24 ml pot for 7.80. Is there a paint conversion chart out there for Colours of War to either Vallejo or Citadel Colours of War seems completely sold out. Citadel Contrast Paint: 18ml pot for 7.80.
